On Sunday May 19th members of ARC travelled north once more, this time for the Moelfre Northern league rowing regatta.
North wales coast had been shrouded with a heavy sea mist from early morning and there were doubts whether the regatta would take place.
The start was delayed until 12 noon when a decision would be made. Luckily by 11.45 a.m. the sea mist lifted to reveal blue skies and hot conditions and the 'go ahead' was given!
Aberdyfi entered 2 men's teams, 3 ladies teams and 4 mixed teams with Tim competing in the sculling.
Great results for ARC winning the men's, ladies and mixed races and Tim winning his sculling race.
The ladies vets and the mixed supervets came first in their repective class.
Ladies captain Tracey said," Once again thank you to everyone involved - rowers, towers and coxes. Everyone gave their all. Thanks to Moelfre for a great regatta - eventually!"
"Very good results for our club - particularly as Kev, James, Matt and Chloe had been taking part in gruelling running challenges the day before on Cadair, and Alice had 'a little jaunt' on the Welsh 3000's!"
" Well done all!"
