Three celtic crews from Aberdyfi plus two yoles met crews from other clubs at Llyn Tegid for a 'mini regatta'  - a fab day of rowing and fun at the lake. 

Joining ARC at Llyn Tegid were two crews from Porthmadog, two from SARC, one from Teifiskiff and  one from Sion Cwitt.

"On Saturday, 25th September seventeen ARC members took 3 longboats and 2 sculling singles to Llyn Tegid ( Bala Lake )

They were joined there by Portmadoc( 2 longboats), Shropshire Rowers ( 2 longboats, Sion Gwilt ( 1 longboat) plus 1 Teifi Skiff from the Teifi Skiff Association.

The whole day was organised superbly by ARC member Claire Jones, very ably supported by ARC  member Ian Brown. Huge  thanks to both. There was something for everyone with 'social/racing' for Ladies, Men and Mixed crews.

The stunning setting at Llyn Tegid added to a wonderful day's rowing with great fun and hilarity, plus perhaps a little rivalry between the crews!

This of course was the first time since the start of the pandemic that clubs have been able to meet up and renew friendships. Everyone said that this was somethinng that had been sorely missed and expressed joy at being able to get back on the water with like minded people.

It was fantaastic to see so many boats on the water and people together having a great time.
