Congratulations to our Aberdyfi crews, who, along with crews from around 14 other clubs , travelled on a very hot Sunday, 21st May to Newquay for the Sion Cwilt Joint Regatta.

Ladies captain Tracey Evans said, " Thank you everyone for all your best wishes for today- our crews were amazing on such a hot day!"

Our ladies came 4th overall and we won our age category - Ladies Vets- over a large field of 17 crews.

Men came 11th .  Our mixed crew were 6th overall ( super vets) .

Our mixed vets came third in thier category ( with a crew of 3 ladies).

Everyone was amazing- we had a great day, and many thanks to Peter for towing the boats!"

"What a sensational Sunday we had yesterday in New Quay for the North and South League Races! The weather was perfect and the atmosphere was buzzing….such good fun! Hopefully you will have seen the photos to know that the place is just stunning!

I have to say, the ladies team stole the show for ARC, winning the Vet’s race and steaming past the younger boats -

Hurrah and what an achievement! J

The men’s team got off to a strong start and put in a sterling effort, giving absolutely everything they had. What an effort in such a ferocious field.

Then finally to the mixed race, where both boats rowed really well in a competitive and crowded race. The ARC teams pulled away from the pack and came in commendable finishing positions after a huge team effort from everyone involved…….including Bob the dog, who is fast becoming a celebrity amongst all the competing teams.

Our race starts have improved considerably since the rocky and bumpy beginnings at Caernarfon and our ability to maintain power and strength throughout the race is a credit to all the team.

And so the ARC rowing racers go from strength to strength, picking up silverware along the way ……"
