Despite the wet and windy conditions at the Snowdonia Marathon Eryri on Saturday October 29th Tom and Rhian Jones and Dylan Evans completed the marathon in fantastic times
and all three thoroughly enjoyed their run.
Second time round for Rhian who completed the marathon in 4 hours, 15 minutes and 22 seconds...
" I absolutely loved it this year but was slightly annoyed as a touch of cramp meant I just missed out on running a personal best .
" Mile 13 to 15 - roughly half way - was horrible, but then I picked up again and although it was very windy, thoroughly enjoyed it!"
First time marathon runners Tom and Dylan also both enjoyed the whole experience and both had great runs.
Tom finished in a time of 3 hours and 41minutes and even had time to stop and chat for a few minutes to his loyal supporters at a cafe on the route!
" I found the wet and windy conditions ideal for running, it was a great experience and I have to say I am relieved that although it was my first marathon I still managed to beat Rhian !"
Dylan's time was 3 hours and 51minutes ...
" I am very pleased - I wanted to finish under 4 hours and I have certainly achieved that. The whole experience was fantastic - the huge amount of runners ,the great support along the way. and the run itself of course. Tom and I ran along together for a while which was great, but after a bit he took off and was gone!
I loved it and will definitely do it again!"
Well done guys - a great achievement!
